Folk Religion

I've been reading about folk religion all around the world.
They actually share a lot in common, the problem is especially in
the Western world, folk beliefs = superstition = childish. This is in response to the enlightenment period and reformation, counter-reformation that Europe experienced in the 16th 17th centuries.
It seems today everyone needs an organised religion to back up their beliefs when in the past people practised Christianity and folk religion together…

Tea Punk came about when my boyfriend was playing Words With Friends and noticed he had the right letters to spell the phrase 'Tea Punk'. I said that was awesome, and declared I was in fact a tea punk. I think I tweeted about it and that's how The Tea Punk Collective came about. We're just a bunch of tea drinkers calling ourselves punks who all agree the phrase has a certain ring to it. Also I was recently told that I have far too much tea in my cupboard- but that's how I roll :)
